Dr. Law works with board-certified MD anesthesiologists who remain at the bedside of the patient during surgery. Dr. Law's extraordinary surgical team includes a pre-operative RN, a circulating RN, Certified Surgical Assistant, Certified Sterile Processing Technician, PACU (revovery) RN and a nurse manager.

Making breast augmentation appear natural

It can be very frustrating for patients who do not achieve the ideal result. If your surgeon is a board -certified plastic surgeon, I would urge you to share your concerns with him or her. A common issue that leads to an unnatural appearance after breast augmentation, even with implants of an ideal size, is inadequate lower pole dissection and/or inadequate release of the pectoralis major origin just above the inframammary fold. As a result the implants sit too high and appear excessively full in the upper poles while the lower poles - which should be the fullest area of the breast - are underfilled. In many breast augmentation patients, the inframammary fold needs to be lowered in order to allow the implant to rest at a level that appears natural relative to the position of the nipple and areola. In a revision like this, Gala Form or Strattice may be used to help keep the implants from dropping or changing position after a revision.
Finding the Most Qualified Surgeon-Please Advise

I prefer the term ‘facial rejuvenation’ over the more antiquated term ‘facelift’, as many patients that I see who seek a more youthful and refreshed facial appearance undergo a set of surgical procedures very different from what would have been considered a ‘facelift‘ twenty-five years ago.Ideally, you can find a plastic surgeon you trust to determine the approach that will be best for you. No two facelifts are exactly alike as no two faces are exactly alike. Do start with ASPS members. Then, look at a lot of photos. Try to find images of people with a starting point similar to yours with results you like. Then, consider a consultation.

It depends. It depends on your anatomy and the size of the implant. generally, the incision needed to remove a saline implant is very small and is well-concealed in the area of the inframammary fold under the breast

When will I see the final results of my gynecomastia surgery?

The final results of gynecomastia will be due in part of how extensive the procedure is. If a man has very extensive fat and excess tissue, the healing process will likely take longer than a less extensive case. Although most men will see a significant change almost immediately, and will feel more comfortable both out of clothing and in form fitting shirts almost immediately. Complete healing may take many months. On rare occasions, a revision may be necessary. It is important for patients to communicate with their surgeon and to report any concerns.

Gynecomastia is a common issue than many men and boys deal with. It is essentially excess fullness of the breast or chest area. The fullness can be excess fat alone, but most often, it is a combination of excess glandular tissue or perhaps excess glandular tissue and excess fat. It is actually not unusual for gynecomastia surgery to include reducing the size of the male nipples. Enlargement of the nipples post surgery might be a temporary part of the healing process. I would suggest sharing these concerns with your surgeon right away.

Congratulations on your weight loss. The cost of surgery will vary depending upon the length of time of the procedure. There is no fee schedule for facial surgery as it is always customized for each patient. Look for a plastic surgeon board-certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery. Facial rejuvenation should be performed in an accredited surgical facility. Look at the work of several plastic surgeons, check their philosophy on their websites and then consider consultations.

Structural fat grafting can be used to help with asymmetry of the breasts. I often incorporate fat grafting as part of the surgical plan where there is significant asymmetry pre-operatively , or in some cases in women with very limited breast tissue to help camouflage the implants and create a very natural looking result.

A breast augmentation is a surgical procedure that adds volume to the breasts by adding breast implants, and or fat. There is a significant limitation to adding volume with fat alone, but it can be used to add minimal volume. A breast lift is designed to life breasts that are saggy or droopy. In some cases, breasts that have lost perkiness may also have lost volume . If enough breast tissue exists, the breast tissue can be used to create fullness in the upper pole of the breast with an auto-augmentation mastopexy. Other times, a breast lift may be combined with breast implants if a woman desires breasts that are fuller and lifted. Look for a board-certified plastic surgeon with experience with all types of breast rejuvenation procedures.
I would like to know what is the price for dermabrasion

The cost for any surgical procedure really depends upon the amount of time required to perform the surgery. Dermabrasion has its' place in plastic surgery, but today there are many, many other alternatives that may provide you with the result you are hoping to achieve with a significantly shorter and more pleasant recovery time. You may wish to consult with a plastic surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery who performs a full spectrum of skin rejuvenation treatments including facial surgery, laser skin rejuvenation, microneedling, PRP, or PRF , chemical peels, etc.

Congratulations on your weight loss. Liposuction of the chin and or jawline can provide a more defined neckline and jaw for many people. To augment the jaw further, fat grafting, or filler can also be used.

In my practice, I use a vertical scar incision technique for patients who desire a breast reduction. This technique eliminates the long, horizontal incision in the fold below the breast. The vertical breast augmentation mastopexy was initially developed by Belgian breast surgeon Dr. Madeline Lejour (who adapted her procedure from the work of two pioneering French breast surgeons). I use a modification of Dr. Lejour’s technique that was developed by Dr. Elizabeth Hall-Findlay of Banff, Alberta Canada. Dr. Hall-Findley’s technique provides beautiful, consistent results. When searching for a plastic surgeon to perform breast reduction surgery, you may wish to ask if they use Dr. Hall-Findlay's technique.

There is a very broad definition of what constitutes a Mommy Makeover. It is not unusual, and can be safe to perform a breast augmentation and a tummy tuck together. of course it depends on the health of the patient and the extent of surgery. I personally would not perform a circumferential body lift and a breast augmentation together. I think that would be pushing the limits of safety. It is most important to think about safety, but one should also consider the recovery when multiple surgeries are performed. A very extensive surgery may also mean an extensive recovery.

At 20 years old, it is unlikely that you are ready for surgical or non-surgical intervention of the upper eyelid. Take a look at fashion models. Fullness in the upper eyelid is present. It is a sign of youth and beauty.
Hooded almond eyes for men with plastic surgery?

A lateral canthopexy can lift the corners of the eye and can give a more almond shaped appearance in people with laxity in the lower lids. This procedure should be done very conservatively to prevent a strange cat-like appearance. Fat grafting of the brow / upper lid junction, in the right patient with hollowed upper eyelids can provide a wonderful, natural looking result that can make a man or woman look more vibrant and youthful. This procedure will not make deep set eyes appear more prominent.
Gynecomastia with incision under nipple only(no liposuction)

Congratulations on your weight loss. Being at or near your ideal weight is a great place to start for gynecomastia surgery. Certainly there are some men with excess glandular tissue only who do not require liposuction. if you are avoiding liposuction due to a concern of scarring, you should not let that worry you. The scars related to gynecomastia surgery often fade to being virtually imperceptible. Most of my gynecomastia patients are comfortable being shirtless during outdoor and sporting events and in intimate moments. Be careful too about the way in which glandular tissue is removed. I often perform gynecomastia revision surgery for patients who had surgery performed elsewhere. The most common correction is for men who experience divots and irregular contours after surgery.
Fat Transfer

The reason you are likely having trouble finding before and after images of fat grafting to the breasts is because fat grafting is rarely used as a stand alone procedure for breast augmentation. Fat grafting, when performed by a plastic surgeon with experience and expertise works. The results can be permanent. I use fat grafting almost daily in surgery with beautiful results. In the breasts, like the face, fat grafting can be permanent, but large volume fat grafting will not likely last and the results would be unpredictable. I use fat grafting to contour during breast augmentation procedure or to add balance and fullness to a breast lift. If a surgeon does offer fat grafting alone for breast augmentation, my suggestion would be to view before and after photos at the six month and twelve month mark so you can observe the final result.

The brand of implant is less important than the plastic surgeon performing your procedure. Women with very limited breast tissue can have a beautiful result from breast augmentation. Some plastic surgeons have a special interest in performing breast augmentation on athletes and others with limited breast tissue who seek a natural looking result with small implants. Small implants can look unnatural. A beautiful, natural result depends upon the placement and position of the implants. Consider looking for a plastic surgeon with a photo gallery just for athletes or small breasted women.
Breast lift

The goal of a breast lift, whether using breast implants or not, is for the breasts to look and feel lifted, perky and youthful. Women seeking a breast lift often feel their breasts are hanging and heavy. A breast lift should correct that concern. A lift with implants, or even and auto-augmentation mastopexy creates fullness in the upper pole of the breast using your own tissue. Breast implants should move like real breasts, so that could be interpreted as bounce in the breasts.
Fat transfer for correcting breast reduction?

I often use fat grafting as part of breast augmentation surgery. Fat grafting alone will not result in a significant change in volume, but it can help with perfecting the shape and balance in some cases of breast augmentation. For women who are interested in explantation, fat grafting can also help with shape and balance. As someone who has performed fat grafting almost daily for the past 17 years, I am very confident that fat grafting can and does last in the face, and produce very beautiful and natural looking results. It can and does also last in the breast, but for very small volume. Fat grafting is not a substitute for breast augmentation with implants.
